One instructor cannot watch eight welding booths at once. Attention gets divided, progress slows down.

Computer-vision algorithms extract the key parameters of the bead being laid and detect deviations from the expected gesture.

03REAL-TIME FEEDBACK
Feedback is immediate, displayed in the field of view, then consolidated for the instructor: per-apprentice history, session comparison, progress areas.

WHO IS BUILDING WELD-MENTOR
WELD-MENTOR was not born in a design office. Dylan Alexandre runs ARC FRANCE, an industrial welding company, recipient of the 2018 French Senate Medal — French Republic, and represented France on the WorldSkills France national team. The parameters the solution measures are the ones a welder actually watches.
THE COMPANY
ARC FRANCE is an industrial welding company based in Villenave-d'Ornon, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. It works on fluid transport and distribution networks, in pipework, in environments where compliance is not negotiable. WELD-MENTOR is built on that day-to-day practice.
TIG, MIG/MAG and MMA — rutile, basic, cellulosic — across standard industrial pipework diameters.
Work subject to radiographic and ultrasonic inspection and WPS compliance.
Buried networks, gas pressure-reduction stations, district heating networks.



WHY IT MATTERS
Part of repetitive practice can be done without consuming filler metal or shielding gas. What is saved on material is reinvested in useful practice time.
A measured gesture can be documented, compared and transmitted. That is what is missing today to speed up the training of a new generation of welders.
